Now that the 2023 NHL Draft is in the books, here is your summary of all the draft picks and trades that happened during the NHL Draft.
The unanimous No. 1 overall selection is now officially, and finally, a member of the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks, and others, didn't expect Moore to still be on the board at No. 19. The Hawks added another speedy center to their prospect pool.
The first goalie off the board in the NHL Draft goes to the Blackhawks at No. 35. Gajan looks like a high-quality pick at the top of the second round.
The Blackhawks chose their first wing of the NHL Draft at No. 44. The Russian winger Kantersov has a lot of promise with speed and skill.
The Blackhawks found a big, fast center to add to their prospect pool. With Misiak, Moore, Bedard, Nazar, and others in the fold, the pipeline is looking strong.
The Blackhawks added a widely considered top-40 prospect and 37-goal scorer in the third round. Talk about value.
Another pick, another center. The Blackhawks were busy adding quality to their center group in the pipeline.
The Hawks added a team player, high-character player, and Team Canada World Juniors participant at the top of the fourth round. Feels like a good value pick.
No, that is not a typo. Marcel Marcel is a massive human as a 6-foot-4 winger. Marcel also had a solid showing for Team Czech in the World Juniors.
Why not add another center? In doing so, the Blackhawks added a 6-foot-6 Swedish center to their prospect pool.
FINALLY! A defenseman! The Blackhawks added their lone defenseman from the 2023 NHL Draft with their final pick.
The Blackhawks are ultimately buying out Bailey, allowing him to go to a contender. However, they acquire another second-round pick, this time in 2026, for absorbing the cap hit.
The Hawks ended up with No. 167 this year and a 2024 second-round pick. Kyle Davidson LOVES his second-round picks!
Blackhawks fans might hate him, but an experienced veteran who will protect Connor Bedard and not cost much on a one-year deal is a fine addition to the roster.
